Joyce
Hello, I am Joyce Hung, and I have been working as a Trainee Behavioural Therapist at Rainbow since last year.
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
I chose a career in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy because it allows me to support individuals with special needs in reaching their fullest potential. Witnessing the tangible improvements in behaviour and quality of life that evidence-based interventions can achieve is incredibly rewarding and motivates me every day.
Before joining Rainbow, I worked as a teaching assistant in Hong Kong, where I provided one-on-one support to students with special educational needs. My role involved creating personalised education plans, designing adaptive tools and materials, and implementing behaviour interventions. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by these students and solidified my commitment to becoming a Behaviour Analyst.
I am currently working towards obtaining my UKBA certification to become a certified behaviour analyst. I believe that continuous professional development is crucial for providing the highest level of support to my clients. This certification will enable me to offer more advanced interventions and contribute more effectively to the field of ABA.
I would describe myself as empathetic, committed, and reliable. My colleagues often say that I remain calm under pressure, am personable, and professional. I am also creative and fun, always willing to find unique ways to support my clients. I strive to make learning engaging and enjoyable by employing innovative approaches. Additionally, I pride myself on being flexible and adaptable, essential traits when working in diverse and challenging environments.
