I first discovered Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) during my undergraduate psychology degree. Several of my lecturers were incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the field, and their energy, combined with the fascinating content of behavioural psychology, drew me in. I was especially intrigued by the wide range of areas where ABA can be applied and the meaningful impact it can have on people’s lives.
Since then, I’ve completed both my undergraduate degree and a master’s in ABA, and I’m now working towards sitting my BCBA exam. I’ve gathered all my supervised hours and am aiming to take the board exam by the end of 2025! Recently, I’ve stepped into peer coaching and supervisory roles, which have given me valuable experience in providing feedback to other therapists and reviewing current programmes. I’ve also had the opportunity to conduct assessments and support the setup of new client programmes.
Rainbow has been an incredible support throughout my journey toward becoming board certified. I’ve felt encouraged and guided every step of the way. My practice so far has taught me so much, and I’m truly grateful for the diverse experiences and opportunities I’ve been given.
I’ve worked with children aged 4 to 14 and have loved the variety that comes with supporting different age groups, settings, and targets. This work is so fulfilling—seeing the progress children make and the positive impact it has not only on them but also on their families and schools is genuinely rewarding. Every milestone achieved, every new skill learned, feels just as meaningful to me as it does to the child.
I have a particular passion for early intervention behavioural therapy. In this area, you witness significant development in foundational skills such as communication, play, and independence. I hope to continue supporting progress for everyone I work with, and I’m also passionate about increasing awareness and understanding of ABA. By raising awareness of the difference ABA can make, I hope to help more children access behavioural therapy and reach their full potential.
