Hi, I’m Rebecca, and I’m really happy to be part of the Rainbow Behavioural Therapies team. I’m still quite new to Rainbow, but from my very first day, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. It’s such a lovely environment to be part of, and it’s made settling in feel effortless.
My journey into Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) began when a close family friend started an ABA programme. Watching their progress was truly inspiring, not just in how they developed new communication skills, but in how their confidence and overall happiness grew. Seeing those changes first-hand made me realise how powerful this approach can be, and I knew I wanted to help other children and families experience that same sense of progress and joy.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on several home-based programmes, often supporting children as they prepare for new school placements or transition back into education. I’ve also spent time working within a local special needs school, where I loved seeing how small, consistent steps could lead to big breakthroughs in learning and communication.
Alongside my practical experience, I’ve completed my Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis and am now working towards my UKBA certification. This journey continues to deepen my understanding of behaviour and how best to support each child’s unique needs.
What I love about being part of Rainbow is the collaborative and family-focused approach. Every programme is carefully tailored, and there’s such an emphasis on celebrating each child’s individuality and achievements, no matter how big or small. The team is always there to share ideas, offer guidance, and cheer each other on. It really feels like a community.
I already feel so supported in my role here and am excited to continue learning, growing, and helping children reach their full potential.
