Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Rainbow Behavioural Therapies provides therapy, coaching and training services to individuals and groups who are struggling with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties as a result of anxiety, stress, depression, trauma or the general balance of life and to those seeking to increase their knowledge and practice in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
What is ACT?
ACT is the application of behavioural science to teach psychological flexibility. It is a third-wave therapy: an extension of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
It is an active, creative, values-driven and behavioural goal-orientated therapy approach to living and coping with challenges that we all face.
ACT focuses on clients learning new skills including; noticing and dropping the struggle with difficult thoughts and feelings in the service of striving towards a meaningful and fulfilled life, lived in accordance with our values.
